Sister Lynn Burke - RN RM. Specialist Practice Nurse
Lynn has worked in the field of travel for over fifteen years. She has attended numerous courses based at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Health Protection Scotland (HPS). Lynn has completed the Foundation in Travel Medicine in 2008 and hopes to start the Diploma in Travel Medicine at Glasgow University endorsed by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Scotland in 2009. Lynn’s other specialised area is chronic disease management. Lynn is also a trained midwife. Hobbies include travelling (as far away as possible), skiing, cooking and wine tasting. Lynn is married with two children.
Dr Jeremy Marriott MBChB, FRCGP
Dr Jeremy Marriott is an experienced GP based at Queen Square Medical Practice where he has worked for the last 17 years. He has undergone training in Travel Medicine at The Liverpool School for Tropical Medicine in 2008 and travelled extensively. He spent some of his earlier years working in New Zealand and then backpacked home through the Antipodes, Far East, India and Nepal. He has also travelled extensively through the Middle East at various times. He has an interest in the prevention of coronary heart disease and its management and is involved in reshaping services for the benefit of patients in the locality.
